Diana Müller:

A CdeB concert only 23 km away from my home - a dream came true!
"Nothing ever happens round here..." - thats right. But not tonight,
folks ! I have just arrived back home from a fantastic open air
party in the Kurpark Bad Brückenau.
We were so lucky with the weather. Although they had anounced rain and thunder,
it was a hot and sunny day. I went there on my own (without our girls gang)
but of course met quite a few list friends. I arrived at 5 p.m. and
soon found out that I had just missed the soundcheck that had
already started around 4 pm - what a pity. They had fences around
the park. It was kind of strange though that the security did
neither urge us to leave the park until the audience is allowed to
get in, nor did they check my ticket ! I have never seen this
happen before. Well, as I said: Nothing ever happens round here
.... Perhaps it was the first open air concert there :)

I was quite afraid that not many people would buy tickets because Bad
Brückenau is certainly not "CdeB-land". But how wrong can one be.
The venue soon filled up. I even met a woman who sings with me in a
choir. It was her first CdeB concert. Chris seemed to like the
atmosphere and the nice buildings surrounding the park, smell of
barbeque etc. He was in a very good mood, very chatty. It was so
sweet how he pronounced "Bad Brücken-au"! He knew that Bad
Brückenau is famous for its mineral water. As he saw people
drinking beer he said: "Thats not fair! Can I have one too, please?"
And soon he had even 2 beers.

At the beginning of the concert the audience was a bit reserved but that
changed quickly from the moment he walked down to us for the Britney
Spears part. After Saint Peter's Gate he joked and said that all those
people who were watching the concert for free from outside and had not payed
for their ticket would go down ... (to hell).

Don't ask me about the song order, I think it was basically the same as
in the previous shows. Read my Name as always a highlight. What a show !
At the end Chris said that this was no concert, it was a party. And to my big
surprise and much to my delight: For the second time on this tour,
after Snows of New York he continued to sing a few of his favourite
songs from the Beatles and American Pie, Pretty Woman and he
finished with Hey Jude. In total he played 2:40 h I think.
Wow, chapeau, Chris !

Good night all

Diana
