Miriam Ibberson: I only managed to get to one concert, the Croydoon one, this year. Other commitmets made it difficult to attend any more. But what a conceert. Becausee it was the only one had a profound CdeB affect on me. It made it all the more special. It reminded me of all those years ago when I first started going to concerts. it didn't matter that I was 11 or 14 rows back. i would stand in the isle and dance. I would run to the front, sometimes getting right to the front, other times standing just somewhere in the crowd. The atmosphere and being able to watch all those people in front of me dancing and clapping their hands, waving their arms around in the air. This year as for several years now I was lucky enough to have a front row seat. Although I stood for part of the walk around session, I did not stand for all of it because the person behind me was in a wheelchair and could not see past us all. Other than that I clapped all the way through, ran to the stage with everyoone else when we all danced. Really enjoyed the new album tracks. I love the conceerts when Chris has had the band, but I also love the solo cooncerts. I went up and gave Chris a rose at the end of Lonely Sky as its one of my favourites. The concert was also very special for my husband John. It was his first time seeing Chris perform Spanish Train & Borderline live, as well as a few others. I still have to bring him to a german concert. I find there is always more atmosphere there than anywhere else. I hope that soon he wil be able to experience that lovely feeling when the whole crowd is captured by the emotions of the songs and expresses this. The British are not the best at expression and perhaps that is why Chris is not so obviously popular here because he is too emotional for some - not necessarily in a slushy love way but really tapping into those raw feelings and deep emotions that people experience throughout their lives. I can't wait for the next chance to see Chris in concert again. Take care all Miriam Who is still high on emotion. |
