Sharon:

Hi

Well what can I say about Plymouth apart from FANTASTIC.

We started the evening by meeting up with Diane and Andrew Perry,
Malcolm, Linda, Katie and their friend Pam for a drink. It was great
to see everyone, as the last time we met up was at the Plymouth
concert 2 years ago. Great way to start the night and I really did
need a drink to calm the old nerves. As something rather special had
been arranged for me. A meeting with Chris before the concert started!

We were taken back stage about 40 minutes along with some other
meeters and greeters before the show started. Chris came through
looking very relaxed dressed all in black. I have to admit I did go a
bit weak at the knees when he spoke to me, took loads of photos
including some of him with me and Keith. I have been a fan since 1987
and this was the first time I had met him and I have always wanted to
meet him. It made my night, and I still can't believe it happened. It
made a lovely early 40th birthday pressie. Thank you to my "guardian
angel" for arranging it.

As you can imagine by the time we took our seats, I was "high on
emotion". Good news that there not many empty seats. I have to admit
I was not sure about it being a solo show, as I have always seen
Chris with a band. I was not disappointed, Chris was superb, how many
other artists of his age, can do a show of over 2 hours on his own
with no break? It just shows what a talented guy he is.

Highlights for me? The Same Sun (one of my top 3 songs) Rose of
England (wow) The Journey, Read my name, Last Night, Borderline, Snow
is falling, The words I love you, spaceman, Ferryman, high on
emotion. Living on the island, this is special song for me and Keith,
as we have a dream that one day we will go and live in Greece, I know
this song was inspired by Greece. I just listened to it and was
transported to a favourite taverna over looking the harbour in the
beautiful village that we love.

The "Britney" bit was brillant, one lucky lady just across the aisle
got a kiss. I think people very very surprised when he did
the "Britney" and they were very pleased.

I got up and danced at the end, it does help having a seat on the end
of the aisle, felt like a teenager again, just dancing and singing,
having a good time.

All too soon he sang "Snows of New York" and the evening came to a
close, but he had more surprise, Chris got off the stage and came
amongst the audience again, just for a few moments, Chris Andrews did
look worried.

We had a great time, look forward to seeing Chris again, hopefully
back in Plymouth, He did go down so well.

Hope you have enjoyed my review, only the second I have written.

Bye Sharon
