Mylène Reiners: Hi all, What a pity - the last concert of the Road to Freedom-tour is over... It was absolutely nice. Not too much people (but sold out), good sound, his voice better than in the Hague. This morning, on my way to work, I realised I forgot the ticket. So I had to go back again, and get it! After work, I went to Tilburg. After waiting in the cold and the rain for some hours (talking to lots of listmembers - some of the Germans were present -, and other people), we were able to take chairs on the first rows. The platform was quite high, and we had excellent sight when Chris played the guitar, but I saw only his hair and eyes as he played the piano... He joked about us only being able to look right into his nose. Meeting new listmembers again... Thanks to Angelique, Jannie and the others, especially Kim, who all helped making this evening one of the best!. There were also some people to who the show was new. Some had never before been to a concert, some had never heard the new album - so it sold good after the show! I got the playlist, but it is not exactly what was played... - When winter comes (not on the playlist, but of course the entree) - The road to freedom - Sight & Touch - Same Sun - Last Night - Five Past Dreams - Lonely Sky (on playlist, not played :( ) - The Head and the Heart (not on playlist, but played) - Natasha dance - Lebanese Night - Rainy Night in Paris - Songbird - St. Peter's Gate - Britney-part: - Living on the Island - Night on the River - Save me - What you mean to me - Crying & Laughing - Snow is falling - Borderline - Say Goodbye to it all - Sailing away - Spaceman - Rose of England (on playlist, not played :( ) - Spanish Train (not on playlist, played) - The Words 'I love you' - Lady in Red - Peaceful Waters - The Journey - Living in the World - Read my Name - Don't pay the Ferryman Encore: - High on Emotion - Snows of New York Beatle-medley: - A Hard Day's Night - Ob-la-di Ob-la-da - American Pie - Pretty Woman - Hey Jude I guess that's it - but I'm not sure / I brought paper, but no pen! The Britney part had some new additions: on the curtains there was a photo of Chris, slowly changing to Britney, and back again. He turned his back to the public, to watch it, and thanked Chris for it... Two people (also both called Chris :) ) came with a head-set! - kind of embarassing actually, when you are telling everyone there was none to be found in Tilburg! Ofcourse he said thanks to all the people who had worked on the tour, and to all fans who had been there. I had a wonderful night - and cannot wait until the next season of concerts!!! Cya all then, Mylene Angelique Heinstman: Hello everybody, It has been a very long time since I posted something to the list, but after the reviews fot Tilburg last friday I feel I have te write something too, Simon and Mylene mentioned the new 7 year old fan Kim and she is my daughter and she had the time of her life last night. We bought 2 chocolate letters, 1 for Chris an 1 for Rosanna, who she really adores but she was afraid to give them to Chris herselve, so I had to do that and Chris mentioned her name on stage, which made her really shy. But when he came down with his Britney part and walked up to her to tickle her belly, she had to laugh so very hard that everything was forgotten and she couldn't stop dancing, laughing, singing and clapping. She even was in front of the stage and after The snows of New York we lifted her up (with the kind help of Jannie and Mylene) and she got the chance to shake Chris his hand and give him a bracelet that she made herself. Chris definite stole her heart. She will be there the next time if possible. Thanks for the kind people around us who even during the concert helped her feeling even more confortable than she already was, especially to Chris who really made her feel at home. WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Greetings from Angelique and ofcourse from Kim. |
