Nicole Buhr:

Hi everybody,
I've been there too - what an event!!! And a long one! I was totally
exhausted when I came home at 2 am in the morning! I went there with a
friend of mine and we had a fanstastic time. First we were in the middle
of the crowd near the front and I couldn't see anything - so many people
so close together. Fortunately me friend is very tall so she always told
me what was going on on stage. After a few artists we had enough and
went further back to watch the concert on the big screens. Here the
atmosphere was more relaxed and you had more space to move and dance and
to sit down during the breaks. And finally with a delay of nearly two
hours Chris came on stage. I was surprised to hear RTF and Lebanese
Nights. During Chris' set the people around me were rather bored and I
got many strange looks for singing along. Only with LIR people began to
sing along and when he started with Ferryman I heard some people say "Oh
no, please, not another song" Well, I enjoyed Chris' performance and I
really hoped that he would make it to Beverungen in time! I hope the
atmosphere was better in front of the stage during Chris' performance -
Natalie, good to hear somebody else was having a good time. After Chris
we went looking for those Live8 T-shirts but nearly all of them were
sold out already but we bought one anyway. I even stumpled across Bianka
and her mother among the crowd - hi there! We enjoyed the rest of the
concert which took longer and longer with every artist (it was supposed
to be finished at 8 pm but it really ended at 12:30 am !!!). I'd love to
see Chris' performance "properly" - anyone out there who
could make me a copy?

Now I'm looking forward to my "concert week" as I am going to see U2
live here in Berlin on Thursday and on Saturday and Sunday it's Chris
again :-)))

Have a nice week!
Nugie
