Lisa Hertlein:

Hi All,

I was there with my little family (Gerhard, my partner and our two
daughters Kathrin(12) and Sandra(10)). Gerhard and Kathrin are already
CdeB-Concert-experienced, whereas for Sandra it was the first concert.
And this made me rather nervous as usually Sandra does hardly show any
likes or dislikes and very seldom her emotions at all. So I was wondering
how I should know whether she likes it or not. And, additionally, those
dark clouds Chris mentioned also depressed my mood a little bit.

But then, from the very start of the concert, even during the heavy rain,
all three of them were sitting on their chairs either just tapping the
rhythm with their feet or even clapping and smiling happily back at me.
And those smiles, the one from Sandra in particular, made this concert to
a fantastic one for me. Despite the odd weather. Thanks, Chris de Burgh,
for making at least us four happy that evening.

Later, when we were dancing in front of the stage I wanted to put Sandra
(she's very little) on the stairs that lead up to the stage so she could
have a better view. But one of the security guys told me in a very harsh
tone that I need to get her off the stairs. I tried to discuss with him,
but to no avail. So I could only take Sandra on my arm and carry her -
while dancing. About 2 minutes later that same security guy tapped me on
the shoulder and said: "OK, she can stand on this step here." Which was
exactly the one I had chosen earlier. So guess who had a really big smile
on their faces....

And with those smiles on our faces we left the venue and went back home,
after a little chat with Anke, Nugie and Gabi (sorry Claudia that I left
so quickly and didn't say goodbye to you).

Lisa.
