Beatrix Ouwerkerk: It was a rainy night in Amsterdam, but what a good one it was giong to be! Arriving at the Heineken Music Hall, we first had to silence our stomages, at the Febo chipsshop. Soon after, in the Hall, we met our listmembers, and our special Dortmundshirts were seen by other concertgo-ers, and we loved to see the Burgh-bunch. Poor chris S. wasn't allowed to bring her famous bottle of wine into the hall, and had to place it in a locker till after the concert (what happened with it, Chris???) Also the fun was before the concert, the whole section of the front was taken by listmembers, and the ones who aren't, we were appraizing the website..... The concert: Chris was in a good mood, and in a great voice, much better than Dortmund. He obvious drunk a lot of water with honey.....LOL This was the second Storeymanconcert we saw, and we understood things better, we knew what to expect. So, Amsterdam was more overwhelming for us. We thoroughly enjoyed it!! And , to show you, that the Storyman is really an influence in your mind: with the song from the girl going to the great house, gets herself pregnant etc. I thought it was with pictures at Chris'back, but it wasn't. Chris had put that in my mind with only telling the stories.......... Also The Traveller, with the mighty cowboy at the videoscreen, the song is much stronger, and I am going to like it as an evergreen. Don't you think that Were we will be going was a great one to start the concert with!!!! The sound of the band is fantastic, and Al vosper is a good gitarplayer. Chris de Burgh in concert is much, much better (and somehow different) than on the cd; his personality makes the difference. This is only a first impression, the whole show must still sink in.....I will enjoy this feeling for months, cherish it, and play the tape in my head over and over again.......noboddy can take that away from us, don't they.!!!!!!!!!
