Claudia Schreiber:
Ah well, as nobody has written one, here's my short version (I thought Ursula would
write one?!):
After a delicious dinner I went into the venue, and chatted with some friends. Sadly I
thought I had to sit alone, but then found Ursula on the chair next to me, who I know
from last summer's show (sorry, I forgot where it was). We both were happy to meet again
and also her friend was a very nice lady.
The actual concert went down very well, the audience liked Chris very much and so there
was a party more or less from the beginning on.
I'd like to think about something that came to my mind during the last shows....
everywhere I think except in Aurich Chris got standing ovations for Borderline.....I
mean, not that I think the song's not worth it -it's brilliant- but it is 25 years old
and we rarely saw people reacting like this in the past years, only of course they did
after september 11th.....so what is it? It really scares me to think that obviously
people all over Germany and even in Switzerland find the message of the song so
important again-is there a general fear of war growing up??? Sorry, I don't mean to get
political here, but it really worries me.
Ok, back to the show! I was really glad that swiss people can "behave" )))) as they did
not rush the stage before LIR this time! It was very relaxed walking down there! Of
course Chris laid down on some ladie's lap again, which is always a good laugh!
Ohhhhh I missed out something: I finally had a chance to shout a wish for one of my
alltime favourites, "Lonely sky" . I tried to shout it for the whole tour, but always
missed the gap between applause for "Last thing on my mind" and the first notes of the
next song. This time I managed it, and Chris asked me to speak up as he did not catch my
wish. He simply said "OK" and did the first half of it!!!!!! Thanks for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too soon the show was over and the 3 of us went to the bar in my hotel for a last drink.
