Osnabrück, Germany - September 24, 2009

Anna Dolgikh:

As usual I will write a couple of words about Osnabruck first. It is a very small and a
very beautiful town with the beautiful streets made of coble stones and lovely houses. I
was impressed by the amazing Cathedral built in the 13th century. Inside it looks rather
simple but it seems to me that exactly this gives such an incredible feeling of comfort
and harmony.

I was also impressed by the words I read by chance in the street. We were returning to
our hotel from a walk in the centre and I was looking down when suddenly I saw a line in
Russian (!) laid with stone on a path just before my feet. It was written that if you
want to learn the mysteries of God you should learn the mysteries of your soul. I should
say that I was amazed to see these words before my feet.

Let me pass on to the concert now. It took place in a very nice small hall. When Chris
came out to the stage the audience greeted him with so much love and warmth that it took
my breath away. And I was amazed and delighted with lots of clapping and singing that
were in the hall already during the very first songs.

As usual the concert began with the song “Last Night” which was followed by “Missing You”.
Then Chris sang “Sailing Away” and I was amazed to notice that when he was singing the
words “underneath the red lights” the red projector right above Chris suddenly turned on
and was shining at him.

“Turn, turn, turn”, “Oh, My Brave Hearts”, “The Long and Winding Road” and “Without You”
were the next songs. As usual I felt myself amazing when Chris was singing “Oh, My Brave
Hearts”. I like the energy of this song and how Chris performs it live. And this song
always reminds me that usual things can be always seen from the other side. It is right
that what happened with my vision of this song last year.

“The Mirror Of The Soul” was the next song. And I was impressed how many strength, how
many emotions Chris put into each word of this song. As usual in the middle of the song
Chris left the centre of the stage and sang the parts of the song standing on the right
and then on the left edges of the stage. And it was fantastic, because Chris’s energy,
Chris’s emotions spread all over the hall and I had a feeling that there was no a person
in the hall who wouldn’t be thrilled with this song. I had the tears in my eyes when
Chris was singing the words “Because a power greater from the world's creator gave us
love to light the mirror of the soul, only love can light the mirror of the soul”.
Because the more I live, the more I understand that love is the basis of this life and
gives a way out from every situation. And I do believe in that what I heard once, that
one of the reasons we are here on this earth – is to learn to love.

“The Leather On My Shoes” was the last song before the break. The second part began with
“All Along The Watch Tower” and was followed by “Love Of The Heart Divine”. And the
beginning of this song was really wonderful. It is so amazing to see and to listen how it
starts. At first Tony plays the drums, then at a certain moment Al very carefully begins
playing his guitar and in some seconds after that the sounds of David’s bass guitar can
be heard and then they are all joined by Nigel’s piano. Fantastic!

The next song was “Moonlight And Vodka” which always makes me smile, as Chris and the
boys play it really fantastic. And I was amazed to see that Tony speaks perfect Russian
and David (with the help of Nigel ) can drink vodka and play his guitar simultaneously
and Al knows that the times have changed and now we drink tea here in Russia.

And then a very interesting thing happened. At first in a very unusual way with lots of
jokes Chris introduced the band and there was so much laughter in the hall. And right
after that he sang “Borderline”. And we all went through a rapid change of emotions. It
happened several times during the concert, but this time was the strongest one. Just a
couple of minutes before the song we all were laughing and then without any break we went
into deep sad emotions. And it was an amazing feeling.

Then Chris spoke about Christmas and sang a part of his new song “The Bells of Christmas”
followed by “A Spaceman Came Travelling”. Chris’s new song produced a tremendous
impression on me. I was so impressed to feel how much joy and love this song brings to
the heart.

The next song was “Where Peaceful Waters Flow”. And I was so moved when Chris was singing
the words “You are my inspiration, you are my battle-cry” showing at the audience as it
was so much from his heart and there were so many emotions in these words.

Then there was the time for “Lady in Red” walk around the audience. And one moment
touched me deep inside. More close to the end of the song Chris was walking in the right
aisle and noticed a lady in red sitting, I think, in the middle of the fourth row and
invited her to dance. My God, I saw the face and eyes of that lady when Chris was dancing
with her. And I don’t know the words to describe her emotions. To say that she was deeply
touched, that she was incredibly happy is almost to say nothing because her emotions were
1000 times stronger! And looking at her I was smiling because when such a strong thing
happens it may influence not only the day but the whole life.

“Africa” and “Making The Perfect Man” were the first songs of the dancing part. And it
was really wonderful to feel the energy of these songs and to see Chris’s smile. They
were followed by “The Words I Love You” and “Bal Masque”. Chris sang them so strong that
I felt myself really incredible. I should say that the idea of the song “Bal Masque”
always seemed to me to be one of the most amazing in this world.

“Ship To Shore”, “Say Goodbye To It All”, “High On Emotion” and “Don’t Pay The Ferryman”
were the last songs and were followed by the encore songs.

I should say that the concert was fantastic! And I was also impressed by the change of
our emotions through out the concert. The concert was a journey from the warm but quiet
emotions at the beginning to the very deep and strong emotions at the end.

Thank you very much for reading my review. I really hope that you liked it!

Kind regards,

Anna Dolgikh
