Claudia Schreiber:

Hiya!

Of course I know that I cannot replace our roaming reporter, but I try my very best!

Once at the venue, they searched everyone's bag for cameras...I wonder if this is a new
advise by the management or just an idea of the venue...anyhow, I don't bring a camera
and so I didnt bother.
The venue itself was not of my private taste, it's a sports hall with a sports floor in
it and I felt like walking on marshmallows again, like I did after the expresslift in
Birmingham 2 weeks ago ))
Later I had to find out that sadly the acoustic was very difficult, as the echos of the
speakers at the stage were coming back from behind, and after a second or 2 we heard the
same things again, only echoing back and of course mixing with the new sound from the
front. I'm sure the soundcrew gave it's best, and it only happened in the quieter parts
of the show, as the loud sounds covered the echos.

Oh, I nearly forgot: special info for Chris W.: He was wearing black trousers, shoes of
course, and the white shirt with the little ... flowers... on.....you know which one
*ggg (sorry, private joke here, lol)

The audience was quiet nice, lots of gifts were taken up to Chris. Once a little girl
(about 10 years old?) gave Chris a little rubber chicken, and when Chris squeezed it, it
made the typical chicken sound. The laugh was even better when he read the little
message that came along with it: "This is not for you, it's for your dog Millie!" Well,
that was quiet nice. I'm sure it will drive Chris and his family crazy when Millie bites
on it all day long ))

as Chris W. wrote, they had changed LIR before Africa, probably to give Chris a chance
to do the walk around without everybody blocking the stage and aisles. Well, sadly some
unpatient guests ran to the stage even before "Last thing on my mind", and Chris kindly
asked them back by saying something like "This is the quieter part, please go back and
come back later" or something similar. Some of them did, but as the security did not
show the least reaction (I wonder why??!!) there were more and more people coming to the
front, and Chris did not seem to be much amused by that. after the song he obviously had
given up and smiled again, doing the walk for LIR through all the people again. I think
in the end he must be pleased that people want to be near him and have fun dancing
around...I wonder what else they might try to keep people seated until the moment he
asks us up.

Too soon the show was over and I tried to catch a taxi outside. As I always help Jason
with the merchandise after the show, I went out later than all the others and all taxis
were gone. I met 2 other nice ladies who waited for a taxi in vain and so we decided to
be brave and=2 0started the walk all along the river. Once we saw a street sign, we
called the taxi again and it finally picked us up.
