Concert Review: Halifax

I won't say too much, since it has all been said before with each of the

other concert dates. All I will say is INCREDIBLE! No, I didn't get up and sing with him. (What a wimp I am.) However, during the concert he said that he would be going to Cheers afterwards. I didn't take him too seriously, but decided to go there on a whim anyways. Sure enough, at the back of the bar was Chris, his piano player, and a few others. I walked up to him with my ticket in hand and with great plans of what I would like to say to him, simply said "I'm a big fan of yours." (Anyone ever seen that "Far Side" joke when Tarzan meets Jane?) Then I shook his hand and got his autograph. Needless to say, I am walking on air. I'll leave it at that for now. YAWP!

Crazy Dave

Chris put on quite a show. He played songs such as Patricia the Stripper, A Space Man Came Traveling, (please forgive me, I'm having a memory block right now), Don't Pay the Ferryman, Traveler, The Tower, Transmission Ends (which is my favorite, I had a tear in my eye), For Rosanna, Lady in Red (of course), Ship to Shore, Moonlight and Vodka (he told us the story about Boris Yelstin and his two daughters), Perfect Day, Borderline (the Saddam Hussien thing, I'm not going any further on that one), Where Peaceful Waters Flow (which was the last one of the show), Let It Be, In Dreams, I'm not crying over you, Snows of New York, Carry me and more. Too many more to mention.

Chris took a break by letting the string quartet play all by themselves. They played something by a Hungarian composer, it was very nice. The comment someone made earlier about this quartet is totally false, I realize it was his opinion but, they were very good.

Chris had the crowd roaring with his impression of Elvis Presley. He pleased the crowd intro-ing songs with stories and anecdotes. Tracy for this gave him a flower! He gave her a KISS!! She was really happy about that, at the end of the night Tracy gave him the rest of her bouquet. Chris was very thankful towards the crowd, after every song he would acknowledge the crowd and thank them for there applause.

I am sorry to say but I did not get to go back stage and meet Chris, I tried, really I did. The security guards eventually asked me to please leave. But I stayed at the back door and waited, and waited. Then all of a sudden there is Chris with his entourage. At first he shook my hand and walked off. Then someone noticed my t-shirt (Ed's Note:Steven is referring to the Official CdeB mail list T-Shirt and it is now known to Chris - This is a hint) and pointed it out to Kenny, Chris' manager. He started asking questions about the page and how we got the t-shirts so I told him. I asked Kenny if I could get an autograph, he said "sure", stopped Chris, who was ahead of us, and Chris personalized his autograph on the jacket of my Beautiful Dreams CD "To Steven, Best Wishes, his sig". I was elated. During the concert Chris had mentioned they were going to Cheers. I was invited to go with them to Cheers. I had two beers with Chris, Kenny, Peter Oxendale, and Chris' personal assistant (I can't think of his name right now.Ed:Chris Andrews) Kenny and I talk about the Home page and his plans for Chris in the future, which I'm not going to reveal right now.
