Concert Review: Aalen, Germany - May 23, 2000
Silke and Marius Voebel:
Yesterday we have been to the CdeB concert in Aalen (near Stuttgart). After Bayreuth, Aschaffenburg, Ludwighafen/Mannheim, it was our 4th concert this year. We were very happy: The "Greuthhalle" was not seated (!!!).... and there were about 2.500 people.
The concert was like the others, but there are 5-6 things to remember:
--> he sang "LONELY SKY" (one of our favorite songs)!
--> people were claping their hands during "Borderline" but they did not applaud (exept us!!!) by "..wisdom in a war.." Can you beat that !?!?!
--> No "sheeps" before "MY LOVER" - (we unfortunatly forgot to take one with us...)
--> Instead of singing with a sheep he sang "Guinness is good for you.." It was very funny and the audiance was inspired... we think, that a lot of people thought, it was a real CdeB-song...
--> Chris call upon the children to come in front of the stage, because he knows how it is to be small...
--> At the beginning he made some jokes of "AALEN". He said it sounds like "IRELAND" and "...when they told me I am playing in AALEN/IRELAND, I was very happy... but then it was AALEN near Stuttgart...." He was very amused about this...
Thatīs all - we hope to get more "Fire on the water" on saturday in Gelsenkirchen, because a lot of people yesterday only knew LIR....
