Concert Review: Munich, Germany (Nokia Night Of The Proms) - December 7, 2001

As it was my first time NOTP I was really overwhelmed by the orchestra and the chorus. but we where only waiting for cdeb - he came on stage exactly on 21.05 and started with LIR ( the song I love most :-(( ). but anyway its great, to hear all the audience singing together with him. then he was talking ... "guten abend munchen - es ist schön, wieder in munchen zu sein - munchen is mein zweite heimat", he spoke about the different restaurants he likes, and about the christkindlmarkt where he likes the gluhwein (hot wine) and wurstel (sausages). he also talked about football - he watched the game bayern münchen in the afternoon and he started to sing "hey baby...." and the audience did not stop singing...then - for all the friends he sang snows of new york and then he went on with dont pay... and high on... everybody was in a great mood, the lights were shining, the applause was tremendous and finallly he jumped off the stage, ran to the fans in the first row, touched ankes cheek... and unfortunately did not kiss me :-((
then the break, the rest is not so important... (meatloaf was quite good - i liked i'll do anything for love.. but he's not really my style .. sorry meatloaf fans)
at the end - all sang yellow submarine - chris threw his flowers exactly to nicole and anke...
