Concert Review: Glasgow, UK - November 4, 2002
Tom:
Went to the Glasgow concert last night (also went there 2 years ago!). Once again Chris surpassed himself. It was utterly brilliant. 2h45min of superb music. I enjoyed every minute of it. Chris's rapport with the audience is second to none and he deserves full credit for everything he does. He admitted that he had to call in a doctor the previous evening in Sheffield and that he woke up yesterday morning thinking he would have to cancel the concert! But he is such a dedicated professional that he took some antibiotics and appeared on stage giving his everything. He didn't quite reach his high-pitched notes as usual, but nobody seemed to care. I don't want to know how he must be feeling this morning :-)!!!! The man is a genius and I already look forward to the next time he plays in Glasgow!!! Highlights for me? Too many to mention. There wasn't one song that I didn't like! 'Lebanese Nights' is indeed a bit special though and will there ever be a better song than 'A Spaceman Came Travelling'... Thanks for a special night, Chris de Burgh!!!
