Concert Review: Coburg, Germany - August 31, 2003

My friend and me arrived a little bit late in Coburg cause we had much traffic on our nearly 600 km-trip, but we reached Coburg early enough to meet with all the listmembers in the "Rio Brasil" bar. (Btw, many thanks to you Lore for your arrangement) After saying hello and introducing myself and my friend we had something to eat and drink and while we are chatting the soundcheck started...and... was over before we decided to go outside for better listening! Yes, and when we sat down on our 5th row seats, I think it was exactly the time when Chris entered the stage, it began to rain and not only a little bit- much water came down from the sky, so that I was completely wet (without any pullover or jacket-only a T-shirt) and I was cold on my feet, body, everywhere!!! So we came up on our feet and started dancing in the rain, and so we became a little bit warmer! After the first songs the rain stopped and Chris promised " tonight the biggest party in Germany", this was the signal for us and others to run to the stage and after a short discussion between the audience, Chris and the security we were allowed to stay and Chris started "Revolution" and the party really did start!!! We had much fun in front of the stage with wellknown faces everywhere arond me and after 3 encores he left the stage. As Martina, my friend and me then walked to our hotel to change our clothes we recognized nearly 15 people in front of our hotel and I wondered what was going on there, at the entrance we met Lore, Angelika and Elisabeth and they told us, Chris is sitting inside having dinner! What a surprise, in our hotel! After chatting a bit and say goodbye to Lore, Angelika and Martina my friend and me made a walk through the very cold night in Coburg city but we were tired from that beautiful day, so we decided to have a last beer in our hotel bar. As we came in there was no security people anymore so that we believed Chris had just gone, but we were mistaken, as we took our seats at a table in the corner, we saw him, Chris Andrews, the band and some others sitting at a table right in front of us. They finished their dinner, had one or two "Schnaps" and suddenly Chris stood up and made some photos with the hostess of the hotel and on his way back he stopped at our table and said "Hello, I saw you in the audience tonight, I saw you know every word of every song." I do not know the answer I gave him, it was something like "tgfuktfgujgtfvzfkfkufkfd" but he goes on talking about the bad weather and why my friend didnīt give his jacket to me during the concert. I was completely embarrassed but my friend had a nice chat with Chris. At the end he said "thank you for your nice support and hope to see you next time" and then he took my mobile which was lying on the table and said that he has the same, only with a black cover, but he needs some lessons how to use it. Then he said "Tschuss" and went back to his table. Before this I was so tired and I only wanted to go up to our room, but after that there was no tiredness anymore!!! This was the end of a really perfect day and I just wanted to share it with you all...
