Concert Review: Mosbach, Germany - July 8, 2004

Sandra Klaaßen:

Hi all of you,

my name is Sandra. I am a member of this group for
about 3 years now and my first Chris de Burgh show was
in 1984 in the Schleyerhalle. Since then I've visited
lots of concerts. All the time I've read your comments
and reviews - I never dared writing myself.
But today I have to do so:

Last night me and my husband arrived in Mosbach after
a 2 hours drive. We were excited as it was the first
show for us on this tour. This was the first time we
bought 1st category tickets, 5th row last 2 places
just on the right.

I must say Chris de Burgh himself did a perfect show.
I would have really enjoyed the songs, the music and
him - but........!!!
What an audience ... I have never seen or shall I say
heard such a crowd of people. As far as I can say lots
of them seemed to be just interested in beer, smoking,
talking, and joking with friends. They didn`t bother
about Chris singing or talking, argued with the
security people.
Did they get the tickets for free ??? Were they
fans???

We asked us why they spent their evening at this
place.
I couldn't imagine.

However the worst thing this evening happened to me in
a moment I generally enjoy most because I`m not really
tall. It was the moment standing in the first row
singing and dancing nearly at the end of the show. A
man almost twice as tall as me - ha, ha, ha - dancing
beside me - seemed to have a beer or two too much
-shaking his glass of beer around and pouring on the
others. I have never seen such a behaviour on one of
Chris' shows.

Anyway on our way back home we tried to forget those
bad dreams and talked about the hard job Chris did in
Mosbach. He was brilliant. We are now looking for
tickets for Dortmund ( if we find a babysitter) anywhere
in the front rows and I'm sure the audience will be
fantastic there.

I hope to meet one of the group members one time.
See you

Sandra
