Concerts in Australia and Dubai
December 2005 - Chris de Burgh will perform a concert in Melbourne, Australia on the 27th of February 2006, and another concert in Dubai, UAE on the 2nd of March 2006. Tickets will go on sale soon. Check our tournews for details.
"Patricia The Stripper 2005" now available!
December 2005 - The Irish only CD single Patricia The Stripper 2005 (with Dustin The Turkey) is now available from The Official Chris de Burgh Record Store and Merchandising Site.
"Songs Of Praise" - TV special on BBC 1
December 2005 - A 40 minute "Songs Of Praise" special with Chris de Burgh will be broadcast on UK TV (BBC 1) on the 1st of January 2006 (5:10 pm). Chris de Burgh talks to Sally Magnusson about his faith and music, explaining how important words are to him and how God has had such an impact on his life. At his old school, the Marlborough College Chapel Choir accompany Chris in a special recording of Psalm 23 and several hymns.
Concert in New Zealand
November 2005 - Chris de Burgh will perform for the first time a concert in New Zealand next year. The concert is part of the Mission Estate Winery Concert, and will be held in Napier on February 25, 2006. Tickets have just gone on sale. Check our tournews for details.
Chris de Burgh at "Star Académie" Canada
October 2005 - Chris de Burgh will perform at the Canadian TV show "Star Académie" on November the 6th (7:30 - 9:30 pm Eastern time LIVE on TVA network).
Patricia The Stripper 2005
October 2005 - Chris de Burgh has recorded "Patricia The Stripper 2005" with Dustin The Turkey for Charity. It will also appear on Dustin's forthcoming album 'Bling When You're Minging'. They will be performing on Irish TV (RTE) at the Late Late Show tonight (28/10/05)! The Single 'Patricia The Stripper 2005' will be released in Ireland on 4th November.
Halifax - Change of location and date!
October 2005 - Chris de Burgh has replaced his previously advertised November 21 show at the World Trade and Convention Centre with a performance on November 19 at The Rebecca Cohn. Tickets purchased for the World Trade and Convention Centre show can be returned to the Metro Centre Box Office for a full refund. There will also be a section of seats being held for the November 19 Rebecca Cohn show for ticket holders who refund their World Trade and Convention Centre show tickets - please call the Halifax Metro Centre at 902-451-1221 for details on how to take advantage of this offer. Tickets for the new Rebecca Cohn show went on sale Thursday, October 27 (902-494-3820 or toll free: 1-800-874-1669).

Chris on German TV
September 2005 - Chris will perform as star guest on this year's "Verleihung der Goldenen Henne 2005". The gala show will be broadcasted live on German TV on Wednesday the 21st of September. Check TV listings for details!

Chris de Burgh on Latvian and Russian TV
July 2005 - On July 31st (19:00) Chris de Burgh will perform live on Latvian TV at the "New Wave Song Contest" (LIVE from the Dzintari Concert Hall, Jurmala). Chris de Burgh is star guest and will perform 3 songs solo. The show is broadcasted live on Latvian TV, with about a 1 hour delay on Russian TV - please check local TV listings for confirmed timings
"Gottschalk & Friends" on German TV
June 2005 - Chris de Burgh will perform live the show "Gottschalk & Friends" on German TV (ZDF, 22:45h) on the 29th of June. You can buy tickets for the show here. Canada 2005
June 2005 - Chris de Burgh 'The Road to Freedom' world tour continues. A Canadian tour has just been announced - tickets on sale from 18th June. Check TourNews for details!
Live 8 Berlin!
June 2005 - Chris de Burgh will perform at the huge Live 8 concert in Berlin on July 2nd. The concert is free (no tickets required) and will be broadcasted all over the world along with the other Live 8 concerts from London, Paris, Rome, Philadelphia, Ottawa and Tokyo. Details about stage time are yet to be settled, but it will be rather early as Chris has to go to Beverungen for another concert in the evening. Check the Live 8 website for details!

May 2005 - Chris de Burgh will appear on German TV at the "Christiane Hörbiger Gala" on Thursday the 26th of May. Check TV and Radio appearances for details!
New double album release!
April 2005 - "Chris de Burgh - Live in Dortmund 2004" will be released on June 27, 2005 all over Europe, including UK. It is a double CD solo album, released in celebration of his 2004 sold out ‘The Road To Freedom’ European Tour. More info here.
The Road To Freedom Live DVD - North American Release!
March 2005 - Many North American fans have asked for it - we are happy to report that finally "The Road To Freedom - Live in Concert" DVD will be released by Eagle Vision in the USA and Canada on March 22, 2005!
New upcoming releases of old material
January 2005 - On March 7th Universal are internationally releasing a DVD version of "Beautiful Dreams" with some additional features. Edel records will release "Chris de Burgh - Limited Gold Edition" on March 29th, this is the album "The Road To Freedom" plus the DVD "The Road To Freedom - Live In Concert" as a box set at a special price (release in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg). On April 4th Universal will release "Chris de Burgh - The Ultimate Collection", this is a double album of Chris' greatest hits plus a DVD of some live footage and some promo clips. This is again an international release, although may not be available in some countries. The release of "Chris de Burgh - Live in Dortmund 2004" (a double live album) is planned for later in the year.
TV recording
January 2005 - Chris de Burgh will be recording a show for RTL in Cologne/Germany on the 21st of February. This show is based on top albums ever sold in Germany. He will be performing "Don't Pay The Ferryman" and the broadcast will be some time in the first week of March. Check TV broadcasts for details of all upcoming TV and radio appearances we know of!
