CDEB assures the importance of religious tolerance, saying that accepting others religions and beliefs, living and communicating with them, would prevent us from crisis and agonies. CDEB indicates the later crisis that happened in reaction to the Caricatured Drawings that is still negatively spreading worldwide. CDEB was quite content and pleased to perform in Dubai. He has had several concerts recently in New Zeeland and Australia, but the concert in Dubai was the best as he said; CDEB loved the audience who interacted with each song, sound and note during the concert yesterday on Arena Stage in the city of Jomeira. The concert lasted for two and a half hours. CDEB greeted his audience in Arabic, French and English. He said that he is visiting Dubai after twelve years of absence, relating to the big changes that took place notably the architectural movement and lifestyle, both developing so quickly. CDEB starts the concert with The Road to Freedom from his newest album entitled The Road to Freedom. He greeted the audience in that exceeded a thousand persons from different nationalities. He also recognized his fans who came from Iran specially to attend his concert, and said he wished he would perform in Iran indicating the prevention of broadcasting western songs in Iran. CDEB also greeted his Lebanese fans since he had had an experience with the Lebanese audience in Beirut. For 150 minutes, CDEB was singing, playing guitar and piano sometimes. It was a solo performance and his band was not accompanying him. Even though there was no break during the concert, the famous Lady in Red singer (CDEB) proved that music revives youth, and he told the audience that they were his band. CDEBs talent in acting and comedy was obvious; he would tell the story of each song and acts it on stage which was quite admired by the audience. He also stepped out of stage to perform among his fans, which assures again how close CDEB is to his fans and audience. He broke this barrier between stage and ballroom. People were all taking pictures of him, and the flashes of camera can be seen all over the space taking pictures of CDEB. CDEBs first song was The Road to Freedom. CDEB said it tells a symbolic story of a mother who sees the wind coming through her door, indicating that summers coming to an end, and winter is coming. The mother says her son she is all she has in life and is so important to her she who spent her whole life working the land she loved. She does not want to loose her son (whom she compares to a seed) in the war. CDEB whose electronic site has been visited with over 1.7 million visitors and fans ever since 1996, performed more than 20 songs, among which some of the Beatles relating to his raciness (roots) in music (meaning inspirationsorry this is a word to word translation) CDEB performed most of his songs from the new album, among which a song dedicated to his daughter Rosanna who won the Title of Miss World in 2003. The song expresses the feelings of the father and the mother (parents) when their children grow up and leave the family house to seek their own world. He also performed Snow is Falling on piano, and quite an emotional song Songbird which talks about a girl who calls a radio station and sings a song by Sting called : Fields of Gold . Her voice was so charming that CDEB could not stop from listening, and asked himself: will the angels cry like me. He also performed a song against wars, showing that killer and killed will meet under one sky at the end. He performed also his famous hit Lady in Red that the audience awaited. Some young ladies present at the concert were wearing red dresses as a response to his emotional call in this charming song. The concert was of great relation between CDEB and the audience/fans, that CDEB writer, composer and singer came back on stage and said he will perform the biggest concert in Dubai, and so he kept on singing and playing music solo with his audience. Despite the fact that the show lasted for a long time, CDEB never felt tired, and his voice was always as strong and emotional as it has always been depicting variety. It was an exceptional concert, where CDEB was a singer and musician, and the audience/fans who adored his music and beautiful lyrics. |
