Read My Name - Competition

The competition for translations of the line "Read My Name" into foreign languages to feature on the cover artwork of the new Chris de Burgh single "Read My Name" is now finished. 260 people participated and translated the line into 45 different languages. The following translations have been chosen:

  • English backwards: Eman Ym Daer
  • French: Lis Mon Nom
  • Gaelic: Rannsaich Mo Ainmich
  • German: Lies Meinen Namen
  • Italian: Legga Il Mio Nome
  • Persian: Naam-e Maraa Bekhaan
  • Polish: Poznaj Moje Imiê
  • Russian: Protschitaj Moje Imja
  • Swiss German: Lis Min Name
  • Xhosa: Funda Igama Lam
